The perfect fit
Free and fun. These are the magic and operative words when planning an activity for the family. And nothing says “free” like a day at the park. The Chevy Traverse makes it easy to pack up the fun and take it on a ride to the next destination. How? Well, it has “Cargo the size of Fargo” of course. I told you that once, but I’m here to show you today.
Thursday, I packed up the kids and headed to our local park. The weather in Maryland is as hot as fish grease. No one wants to go outdoors, or is advised to. Except…the children. They could care less if mommy’s thighs are sticking to the seat like a grilled cheese sandwich from sweating profusely. Luckily, the Chevy Traverse LTZ features perforated leather-appointed front seats that can be cooled for a moment like this.
The trunk was filled with everything you could imagine- a bike, a skateboard, snacks, toys, a cooler. I didn’t even have to leave any of the children on the side of the road in order to make it work. It all went in perfectly.
We settled at the perfect spot in the park where both the Traverse and we were shielded from the sun.
Check out that backdrop
Eat, read, and be merry...and drink lots of water
Mariah doesn’t always give me the time of day. At the park, however, she told me, “I don’t want to leave!” I didn’t blame her. We had a blast. I was happy to get out of my “funk” from the previous day as well. Take a look at our day:

Did you know?
The Chevy Traverse “has more space than you’ll find in many full-size SUVs. The available split-folding seats in the second(20) and third rows give you the flexibility to adapt the vehicle on the fly.” I found that out on the first day from speaking with the Baltimore Area Chevy Dealers.
When I grow up, I want to be a Chevy Girl
Want to know something else about the Chevy Traverse? It will have wings by the time these two girls start driving. I’m totally making that up, but I can only imagine what they’ll think of next.

Some days you’re just glad to make it through the day. The last thing you feel like doing is packing up the brood and heading to the multiplex of DOOM. Ugh traffic, a small fortune for tickets and $20 popcorn… no thanks. Lucky are the folks who can take the movie experience with them, or better yet stay in their own front yard!

Did you know that the Traverse has a super cool AC electric outlet right inside the darn thing? Well it does. This fact got me thinking about the endless possibles posed by mobile power (Oh those silly Chevy Engineers… they know not what they have done).
Mobile Salon…
Timeless beauty at the turn of a key.
For the Gourmand on the go…
Brunch on the back seat anyone?
Entertain the Masses….
"Delight" your friends, neighboors and random stranger in traffic with your best Neil Diamond!
Vegas … Schmagas!
Luck be a Lady... anywhere any time!
Beware a Baltimore Chevy Girl with a mobile outlet…HON!

For as long as I can remember I have been navigationally challenged. It started innocently enough, at a fork on the belt way I would go East when it should have West. In a panick to prevent getting lost, I would completely ignore previous directions & just take the exit with the word ‘Baltimore’ on it. The official diagnosis was not made until one day (granted I was 16) when I went to go to the mall & ended up in Pennsylvania. Vitamins have helped, & once I am familiar with an area there is little chance of relapse. However, they have finally developed a cure for chronic sufferers: Onstar!

I don’t need to stress any more when I’m in the midst of being lost & fumbling to type in addresses while also trying to drive & find my way! Now with the touch of one button in the Chevy Traverse, an OnStar Representive will come on the line & help me in a calm soothing voice. Hallelujah!Directions are then sent via satellite from OnStar to my navigation screen for a visual guide & audio cues prompt me when turns are coming up that I need to take.

Earlier in the week you saw OnStar take me to my old flame’s concert. {Alright so Joey McIntyre & I never dated- I was just a teenager lying to myself!)

But on another music note, I also got a last minute invite to go see one of my favorites artists, Matt Nathanson perform in front of 20 lucky listeners. It normally would have overwhelmed me, the thought of driving to DC alone – but it was a no brainer with OnStar. Here I am happy as a clam, having arrived early without being frazzled finding my way & with my VIP pass!
Here I am with the one & only- the amazing Matt Nathanson! The whole process of getting there, was so easy! (Whereas normally I would have been in a total tizzy} I have a feeling more adventures will be on the horizon thanks to Chevy OnStar…but tell me beauties- when was the last time you got lost?
Peace. Love. Lipgloss. M
